We are so special and privileged this morning that God thought it best to think about us. Thank God for choosing us to follow Him. David caught the revelation of following Jesus; surely Goodness and Mercy shall follow me all the days of my life. Goodness and Mercy is the two main blessings that comes upon us as we follow the good shepherd. Friends and Family might fail you, but Jesus will never fail you. Let us not only follow Him, but also follow God’s example therefore as dearly loved children. As we live by Faith and not by sight we ought to follow God by Faith and not by sight.
On the night when Jesus was born, the whole world was in expectation to see the birth of the king so much so that they followed the star in anticipation of his coming. They brought expensive gifts in celebration of his birth and gave Him the name above all names; Jesus. This is a powerful demonstration of the very fact that we ought to follow, obey and sacrifice unto Him. Not only because of what He can do or has done, but because of who He is.
