Every good and perfect gift comes from God. A gift is something given to someone, without expecting a payment for it. This is the gift that God has given to us and we don’t ever need to give Him anything for it. He paid the price in full on the cross of Calvary. God’s gift is there to protect us, to heal us, to deliver us, to bless us, to sustain us and to lead us to the path of righteousness. No wonder when Jesus met with a certain woman and asked her for a drink; He answered and said to her, “If you knew the gift of God, and who it is who says to you, ‘Give Me a drink,’ you would have asked Him, and He would have given you living water.” He replied in that way; because He is the living water. He is the gift to all mankind and in Him is everything everlasting. Child of God, if you have God you already have everything. From His fullness He has given us grace upon grace.
I pray for you, may the God of the living waters enable you. Walk in righteousness, walk in the eternal gift of God!
