The word of God gives us direction, correction, edification and uplift ment. The word of God is there to protect us. When we spend time in God’s word, He leads the way and we need to follow. When we spend time with God’s word, we cannot go into the wrong direction, because the word becomes our light. When we spend time with God’s word we are empowered on our journey. When we spend time in the word of God, the holy spirit indwells us. No wonder the psalmist pens these words when He says; Your word is a lamp unto my feet and a light unto my path.
